About Us

 Who We Are

Winnebago Presbytery is a collaborative network of 28 congregations with about 4,000 members located in Northeastern Wisconsin. Our geographic boundaries stretch to include the expansive forests of the Northwoods leading up to the Upper Michigan border, southward completely surrounding Lake Winnebago, all the way eastward to the shores of Lake Michigan, and westward ending in Central Wisconsin.

Whether you are new to the area or seeking a faith community to call home, Winnebago Presbytery welcomes you with open arms. We invite you to join us on this journey of faith as we seek to love God and love our neighbors with all our hearts, minds, and souls. Together, we can create a brighter future and bear witness to the transformative power of God's grace in our lives and how it connects with the world around us.

OUR NEWS & NOTES

On Wisconsin!

Wisconsin, really? If it's not where you imagined God would call you, continue reading. You'll be surprised!

The Land & Lakes

The geographic footpring of our presbyteries offers the perfect balance of urban and rural settings. If you find peace in wide open spaces and natural settings, Wisconsin offers rolling hills, beautiful lakes, forests that light up in fall, and access to trails for hiking, fishing, hunting, and cross-country skiing. Did we mention Lake Michigan and the miles of beaches?

If you prefer the buzz of city living, Wisconsin's museums, restaurants, shows, and breweries will keep you busy. In summer, our presbyteries kick into high gear with festivals celebrating our racial-ethnic diversity and a nationally renowned, week-long music festival. Chicago is only a commuter rail, day trip away.

The People

We are Wisconsin nice! Although we sometimes need to work on our conflict avoidance tendencies, people in Wisconsin make it a point to get along. We have "purple" churches and towns, where folks of differing opinions have learned how to live together in love and respect. Our congregations can lean conservative or progressive, so you will find a home in Wisconsin!

  • "I've lived in several different states, and many of them do not consider you to really be a part of the community unless you've lived there for decades or generations. When I came to Wisconsin I was welcomed in to a community that wanted to know and love me, even though I'm not a beer drinker! - Rev. Kim Trimboli, New Berlin, WI

The Affordability

The cost of living in Wisconsin is lower than many other places. Here, you can still find affordable housing. Though our pastor salaries might not be at the same level as the coasts, they allow you to live comfortably in Wisconsin.
